Repair is one of the Character Statistics in Friday the 13th: The Game.

Description[ | ]

This stat determines how quickly and easily a counselor can fix objectives (e.g. the power box to call the police).

When you attempt to repair an objective, you will deal with QTE (quick time event) checks, but the amount of checks are lessened if your counselor's repair stat is high. The QTE event checks will also have more forgiving windows of opportunity the higher your repair stat is. Finally, the higher a counselor's repair stat is, the less time it takes a counselor to repair an objective.

Players who choose counselors with low repair shouldn't consider fixing objectives since failing an attempt will alert Jason. If you feel you're experienced enough, you can attempt a repair with counselors who aren't skilled in this trait, but taking a longer time to fix an objective gives Jason a better shot at catching you before you complete the repair.

Trivia[ | ]

  • The counselor with the most effective repair potential is a tie between Deborah Kim as well as Eric "J.R." Lachappa.
  • On the flip side, there is a tie between Brandon "Buggzy" Wilson as well as Tiffany Cox for least effective repair.
  • Failing a QTE gives Jason a specific sound cue. For example, failing a QTE while pouring gas in a car or boat makes the sound of gas spilling, and a QTE while repairing the phone box gives the sound of a phone beeping. However, Jason won't know exactly which objective made the noise if the sound the repair makes is shared between objectives. For instance, screwing up a QTE while repairing an electric box will produce the same sound as failing a QTE while fixing a car battery, so it's possible to give Jason false information if you knew there were no counselors near the cars to begin with since he will likely investigate the four-seater car if its battery hasn't been installed yet.
  • The luck stat was once believed to also affect how many QTEs a counselor would have to work with on a given repair, sometimes lowering the amount necessary to complete the job. However, with the release of the counselor Mitch who had high repair, yet low luck, it was revealed this was false since he consistently had low amounts of QTEs in order to repair an objective, despite having low luck.
